Yes! We offer free parking directly outside our facilities in both Reykjavík and Vík.

Will there be real lava?
Yes! Lava Show recreates a volcanic eruption by reheating real lava from the Katla eruption in 1918 to 1,100°C (2,000°F) and pouring it into the showroom.

Is it safe to breathe in the room?
Absolutely. Our lava contains no volcanic gases, so it is completely safe to breathe in the showroom at all times.

When should I arrive at Lava Show?
Please arrive 15–20 minutes before the show starts. Seating is not assigned and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Is there food on site?
Reykjavík: No food is available on-site, but there are several restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Vík: Yes! Our building is shared with The Soup Company, which offers delicious soups, cakes, and coffee. Please note: No food is allowed inside the showroom. All food must be consumed before entering.

We highly recommend purchasing tickets ahead of time, as shows can sell out quickly. Tickets are sometimes available on-site, but availability cannot be guaranteed.

No. All guests are responsible for arranging their own transportation to the show. Reykjavík: Public transportation is available. Bus #3 and #14 stop near our building. Vík: No public transportation is available. Our staff can assist in booking taxis after the show if needed.

Are babies and infants allowed at the Lava Show?
Yes! Babies and infants are welcome. For safety reasons: All babies must be seated in the third row, near an exit. Parents are responsible for their children's behavior and are kindly asked to step out if the child is unable to remain quiet and seated, to ensure the best experience for other guests and our hosts.

Not quite! Both shows include an introduction, a video, and of course, real lava, but the content focus differs: Reykjavík: Emphasis on Iceland’s Viking-era connection to volcanoes and the recent Reykjanes eruptions. Vík: Focused on the volcanic systems of the South Coast, especially Katla.
